So...I messed up the first blog; I tried to publish it, went wrong, tried 'back-page' and lost everything! Hmmmmph.

Anyway, today I think I now have collected all the materials to make home-made Christmas crackers for my students. Teaching is the Key is only a small business, so I don't need to make too many (but will probably incluse a few brothers and sisters). I wanted to use a little more imagination then just giving a box of chocolates.

About ten days ago, I ordered lots of small items that would make standard crackers more interesting. Let's see how many I can get into a cracker and if it will be practical and strong enough to actually be pulled! Oh...and of course there are 'snaps' - the part that makes the bang (thanks eBay!). These snaps are REALLY loud!

Post again later to update my progress. I like projects like this because they are new to me, different and anything could happen. But I do believe that I will be successful; I think that is probably important with all students - they must feel that the new challenges that they face are actually 'doable'.

Watch this space...
